I waited for days to hear back, and when they finally responded, I still didn’t get any real answer. Like, what was the point??

The box showed up completely crushed and was leaking everywhere. I had planned to use it that day, so this messed up my plans and was really frustrating to deal with

I bought this Kaytee food for my guinea pig, he just sniffed it and walked away. I gave it a few days to see if he’d come around, but he still wouldn’t eat it. It felt like a waste of money for us. At the end of the day, you just want to give your pet something decent that they’ll actually eat

I ordered from kaytee.com for the first time, and the shipping was the part that ruined it for me. The tracking info barely changed, and I kept checking the same line over and over because it just sat in one place for days with no explanation. Even the timestamp stayed weirdly old, which made it more frustrating.
When the package finally arrived, the box looked rough, with one corner crushed in and the tape kind of peeling up. One of the items inside had a dent too, not totally destroyed, but definitely noticeable. For a first direct order, it didn’t leave a great impression, and I probably wouldn’t order straight from them again

I picked up a bag of kaytee timothy hay and it was bad. Most of it looked brown and dry, with a ton of dust and tiny broken pieces at the bottom. My guinea pigs usually go straight for fresh hay, but they barely bothered with this one, which told me a lot. It also had that stale, old-storage kind of smell, like nobody had really checked the bag or cared what was going out.
I tried shaking it out and sorting through the better-looking pieces, but so much of it was basically unusable that I ended up tossing about half the bag. For what it costs, that’s really frustrating. It just had that no-real-person-behind-it feeling, like quality control wasn’t part of the process. I don’t see myself buying kaytee hay again unless it improves a lot.

I grabbed the Kaytee food thinking it would be decent, but once I looked at the ingredients, I was not super impressed lol. There seemed to be a lot of fillers, and my pet kept picking around certain pieces, which made it feel like the quality just wasn’t really there for the price.

Maybe it works great for other pets, but I don’t think I’ll be buying it again. I’d rather spend a little extra on something with cleaner ingredients and less random stuff mixed in.

I’ve been a loyal customer for a while, so I hate saying this, but the food really didn’t taste fresh at all. It came across stale and kind of old, which was surprising because I normally have a much better experience here. I’m torn because I still like the brand, but this order was definitely a letdown.

I’ve ordered a few things from kaytee.com for my rabbit and my bird, i think the prices are fair. The bags last a decent amount of time, so I don’t really get why anyone would expect it to be dirt cheap. Shipping wasn’t lightning fast or anything, but it got here fine, so I can’t complain too much. Overall, I’d say it’s good value for the price. I just wish they had more deals once in a while
